How to Track Temu Packages

Once your Temu order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number. You can also find your tracking number by logging into your Temu account, navigating to "My Orders," and clicking on the specific order. Enter this tracking number in the search box above, and our system will automatically detect which carrier is handling your shipment (whether it's USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or China Post) and retrieve its tracking information.

Understanding Temu Tracking Statuses

Common Temu tracking statuses and what they mean:

• "Order Confirmed" - Temu has received and confirmed your order, preparing items for shipment
• "Order Shipped" - Your Temu package has left the warehouse and is in transit
• "In Transit to Destination Country" - Package is on a plane or ship heading to your country
• "Arrived at Destination Country" - Package has landed in your country and entered customs
• "Customs Clearance" - customs is assessing it, and no scans appear while that happens. Since the $800 duty-free allowance ended, an entry is filed on every cross-border parcel whatever its value, so this step runs longer than it once did
• "Out for Delivery" - Local carrier has your package and will deliver today
• "Delivered" - The carrier has marked the package as delivered
• "Delivery Exception" - Issue with delivery, check tracking details for specific reason

Common Temu Tracking Issues & Solutions

Tracking Number Not Working: Temu tracking numbers typically activate within 24-72 hours after order confirmation. If your tracking shows no information, wait a few days as Temu may have created the label but not yet handed the package to the carrier. If the number still shows nothing 7 days after the shipping notice, contact Temu customer support.

"Awaiting Shipment" for Days: During peak seasons (Black Friday, sales events), Temu may experience high order volumes causing delays in processing and shipping. Temu states that processing may take 1-3 days, and you receive a message once your order ships.

Stuck in Transit/Customs: International Temu shipments must clear customs in your country, and the time depends on that country and on the package contents. This is normal and no action is needed unless tracking shows "Customs Clearance Failed."

Multiple Tracking Numbers: If you ordered multiple items, Temu may ship them separately from different warehouses (China, US, UK, etc.), resulting in multiple tracking numbers for one order. Check your order details in the Temu app for all tracking numbers.

Why Temu Deliveries Got Faster: The Local Warehouse Shift

Temu's delivery profile changed outright during 2025 and 2026, and it explains why two orders placed the same week can behave nothing alike.

The United States withdrew its $800 duty-free allowance for Chinese and Hong Kong origin in May 2025, extended the suspension to every country that August, and made it indefinite in June 2026. Clearing thousands of individual low-value parcels became slow and expensive, so Temu moved hard toward bulk-importing stock into local warehouses and onboarding domestic sellers.

Add one to three business days of processing before any of those clocks start. Checkout gives no dependable signal about which route an item takes, and one basket can draw from both, which is why two parcels from the same order can arrive a fortnight apart.

What this means for a stalled parcel: if yours is cross-border and sitting at customs, that is now a longer step than it used to be, because an entry is filed on every shipment regardless of value. Customs authorities generate no scans while assessing, so a flat tracking page there reflects the queue rather than a lost package.

Temu Returns: 90 Days, Counted From Purchase

Temu's window is among the most generous in retail, and the detail that catches people is where it starts.

You get 90 days from the date of purchase, not from delivery. On a cross-border order that takes two weeks to arrive, a fortnight of the window is gone before you have opened the box. Generous as ninety days is, inspect things when they land rather than assuming you have three months from then.

The free return is per order, not per item. Put everything you are sending back into one return request and one parcel and it costs nothing; split it across separate requests and the later ones attract the fee. Decide on the whole order before you start the first return.

There is a second deadline nobody mentions. Requesting a return is not the same as making one: you have about a fortnight after the request to post the parcel, and letting that lapse can void the return even though you were inside the ninety days.

Low-value items are often refunded without a return. Where sending something back would cost more than the item, Temu often issues the refund and tells you to keep it. Select the accurate reason and upload a photo; that is what triggers the assessment.

Refund method changes the speed a great deal. Temu states that refunds to Temu credit are faster than refunds to your original payment method, which can take 5-14 business days (up to 30 days) depending on your bank. If you shop there often, credit is the faster choice.

Items must come back unused and complete, with tags, packaging and any accessories. Keep the barcode from the original packaging, because returns arriving without one take longer to process.

Following a Return Back

Once posted, a return carries its own tracking number, separate from the one that brought the parcel to you. Keep it until the refund lands: it is the evidence that the item reached the warehouse if anything is disputed. Refunds are issued after the return is received and checked.
