About AliExpress Package Tracking
Track your AliExpress orders in real-time with our free tracking tool. AliExpress is one of the world's largest online marketplaces, connecting buyers with sellers primarily in China. Whether you're tracking AliExpress Standard Shipping via China Post, premium deliveries via Yanwen, or international packages via 4PX Express, our tracking system provides detailed status updates and delivery estimates for all AliExpress shipping methods.
AliExpress Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
📦 AliExpress Standard Shipping
AliExpress Standard Shipping and its cheaper siblings. Cainiao moves the parcel out of China, then a regional postal service completes the final mile.
15-45 days✈️ AliExpress Premium Shipping
Faster delivery using express carriers like Yanwen, 4PX, or SF Express. Includes tracking and faster customs clearance.
7-15 days📮 Economy Tracked Packet
Budget tracked service for light parcels, sold under various names. Often labelled ePacket, though that was a China Post arrangement with USPS whose economics changed once the US duty-free allowance ended.
10-20 days🌍 AliExpress Direct
Combines multiple carriers for optimized delivery. Available for select countries with local warehouses and faster shipping.
7-12 days⚡ AliExpress Express
Premium expedited service with delivery in 3-7 business days. Uses DHL, FedEx, or UPS for fastest international delivery.
3-7 days🏪 AliExpress Economy
Seller-paid shipping option, typically using China Post ordinary mail. Slowest option with limited tracking but lowest cost.
20-60 daysHow to Track AliExpress Packages
Paste the reference above and we identify which operator holds the parcel — on AliExpress that could be Cainiao, a Chinese line-haul carrier, or your own national postal service after the handover. The number arrives with the shipping confirmation, and you can also find it under My Orders. You can also find your tracking number by logging into your AliExpress account, navigating to "My Orders," and clicking on the specific order. Enter this tracking number in the search box above, and our system will automatically detect which carrier is handling your shipment (whether it's China Post, Yanwen, 4PX, or another carrier) and retrieve real-time tracking information.
Understanding AliExpress Tracking Statuses
Common AliExpress tracking statuses and what they mean:
- "Order Confirmed" - the seller has your payment in escrow and is preparing the item. Nothing is with a carrier yet
- "Shipped" - a label exists and the seller has handed it over, or is about to. The first real scan may lag by a day or two
- "In Transit to Destination Country" - it is on a consolidated freight leg out of China, where scans are sparse by design
- "Arrived at Destination Country" - it has landed and the receiving country now controls the pace
- "Customs Clearance" - customs is assessing it, and no scans appear while that happens. An entry is now filed on every cross-border parcel whatever its value, so this step runs longer than it once did
- "Out for Delivery" - a local carrier is running it today. From here their own tracking is the better source
- "Delivered" - Package successfully delivered to your address
- "Delivery Exception" - something interrupted the attempt. Read the reason text rather than the word exception
Common AliExpress Tracking Issues & Solutions
Nothing found for your number: a reference exists from the moment a seller prints a label, which can be days before the parcel is handed over. AliExpress sellers batch their dispatches, so that gap is wider here than on most platforms. Allow a couple of working days before treating it as a fault, and chase the seller through Messages if a week passes with nothing.
Sitting on "Awaiting Shipment": the seller has accepted the order but not released it. Sale periods stretch this considerably, and 11.11 in particular backs the whole network up for weeks. Most orders move within a few business days of order confirmation.
Frozen mid-route or at customs: consolidated freight produces no scans between the origin sort and arrival, and customs generates none while assessing. Neither silence means anything is lost. Since duty-free thresholds narrowed, the customs step in particular takes longer than it used to. This is expected and no action is needed unless tracking shows "Customs Clearance Failed."
Multiple Tracking Numbers: If you ordered multiple items from different sellers on AliExpress, each seller may ship separately resulting in multiple tracking numbers for one order. Check your order details in the AliExpress app for all tracking numbers.
Buyer Protection Runs on Escrow, and One Button Ends It
AliExpress works unlike every other marketplace on this site, and understanding the mechanism is worth more than any delivery estimate.
Your payment sits in escrow. AliExpress holds the money and the seller is not paid until either you confirm receipt or the protection window expires on its own. That escrow is your leverage, and it exists only while the window is open.
Tapping "Confirm Receipt" releases the money early. The app pushes you toward it, and doing so before you have checked the goods hands over your position: the seller gets paid and the longer non-delivery protection is gone. There is no reason to confirm receipt until you have opened the parcel and are satisfied.
The Two Deadlines That Decide Whether You Get a Refund
| Situation | How long you have | Counted from |
|---|---|---|
| SituationYou confirmed receipt, or it auto-confirmed | How long you have15 days | Counted fromThe confirmation |
| SituationParcel never arrived and you never confirmed | How long you haveUp to around 90 days | Counted fromThe ship date |
| SituationOpening a non-delivery claim | How long you haveOnly after the maximum delivery window closes | Counted fromShown per order, not a fixed site-wide figure |
| SituationRefund reaching you | How long you haveDays to a few weeks | Counted fromThe decision, plus your bank |
The 15-day window is the one that catches people. Once an order shows delivered, or you confirm it yourself, that countdown starts and does not pause. When it expires the order closes permanently, the seller is paid, and no dispute can be opened afterwards.
The maximum delivery window is per order, not per site. It depends on the item and the shipping method, and it appears on the product page and in your order details. Check it at checkout rather than assuming a number, because it governs when you may raise a non-delivery claim.
If a parcel is running late, act before the window closes. Protection can extend in some circumstances, but relying on that is a gamble. Open the dispute while you still can; you can always withdraw it if the item turns up.
Returns: What "Free Return" Actually Changes
Look for the Free Return label on the listing before you buy. Items carrying it allow a no-reason return within 15 days of delivery with return shipping covered. Without it you can still open a dispute, but you may be paying to send the item back to China, which on a low-value order costs more than the goods.
Each seller is a separate case. An order spanning three sellers means three disputes, three labels and three parcels. Combining them into one shipment is a common way people lose a refund.
Low-value disputes are often settled without a return. Where return postage would exceed the item's worth, a refund-only outcome is common. Choose the accurate reason and upload photographs; the evidence is what the mediator weighs.
Photograph everything before you unpack further. Disputes turn on evidence, and the packaging is part of it. Keep the conversation inside AliExpress Messages so it forms part of the record.
Customs on AliExpress Orders Has Changed
Duty-free entry on low-value parcels has mostly gone. The United States withdrew its $800 allowance across 2025 and made that suspension permanent in June 2026, and the European Union abolished its €150 threshold on 1 July 2026, replacing it with a flat charge per item category billed to the seller. The United Kingdom still applies £135.
In tracking terms this shows as a longer customs step. An entry is filed on cross-border parcels whatever they cost, and customs authorities produce no scan events while assessing, so a static tracking page there reflects the queue rather than a lost package.
Customs charges are not covered by Buyer Protection. Duty and handling fees levied by your own country fall outside the programme, so a dispute will not recover them. Our guide to US import duties explains how the charge is calculated.
Following a Return Back
A return travels under its own tracking number, separate from the one that delivered the order. Keep it until the refund lands: on a cross-border return it is the only evidence the item reached the seller, and disputes have turned on precisely that.
